This page by no means is exhaustive but will attempt tell the story of how terrorism has affected the lives of every person on Itamar. It will also tell the tale of heroism and courage and G-d's victory and recompense as lives are rebuilt to His Glory.
The people of Itamar have not let terrorism deter them from their commitment to claim the land that was promised to them by G-d thousands of years ago. The terrorism has only increased their determination to dig their heels in and say - THIS LAND IS OURS!

2001 Martyrs
Arieh Arnaldo Leon Agranionic Murdered May 8, 2001
Arieh Arnaldo Leon Agranionic was murdered by terrorists as he guarded the Binyamin farm, a lonely outpost on an isolated hilltop 7.5 kilometers east of Itamar in Samaria
Father of three children.
Gilad Zar Murdered May 29, 2001
A founder of Itamar and security officer was ambushed then shot from a distance by gunmen who then fired at least two full magazines of ammunition into the car.
Married and father of eight children
Meir Lixenberg Murdered August 27. 2001
Shot to death on his way home from work. Head of security for the four Shechem-area communities Brachah, Itamar, Yitzhar, and Elon Moreh], and involved in arranging programs for bringing families to visit and to live in Shechem communities.

Terrorists shot two Itamar yeshiva students as they were playing basketball outside their school and then entered the building and shot three others, one of whom also died.

Murdered June 20, 2002
A Palestinian terrorist broke into the Shabo home and deliberately murdered a mother and three of her young children, as well as wounding two of the family's other kids and a neighbor who tried to help.

Yosef Twito Murdered June 20, 2002
The head of Itamar's emergency security squad, Yosef Twito rushed to respond to the terrorist attack on the Shabo family.
Married and father of 5 children.
Matan was a 22 year old soldier when he encountered a suicide bomber at the soldiers bus-stop near the gas station of Ariel in the Shomron. There, he rushed forward to prevent the attack, sacrificing his own life to save his comrades.
Orna and David Mimran Attacked July 30, 2002
The couple awoke when the Arab entered their bedroom, and a struggle ensured. During the encounter the Mimrans managed to kill the terrorist with his own knives, but not before David was stabbed in the chest and arm.
2004 Martyr
Shlomo Miller Murdered August 13, 2004
Shlomo became Itamar's security officer after the death of Yosef Twito and was murdered as he responded to a Friday morning attack when a PA para-military police officer approached the back gate of Itamar and opened fire at two Israelis standing nearby

18 year old Eliyahu Asheri was shot in the head at close range shortly after
he was abducted by Arab terrorists while waiting for a ride back to his pre-military academy. His body was buried under loose dirt was found near Ramallah.
